It’s About to Begin!

brianabattyDecember 1, 2019

It’s that time of year again! Advent 2019 begins tomorrow (1 December), which means I begin my annual marathon viewing & reviewing of different versions and adaptations of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. As usual, this year is a new blog and site address.

As stated in previous intros, I have loved A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens ever since I was a child. I know this is a common statement and there is a myriad of people who say the same.  Click on the link for the “About” page for a little more personal detail regarding this.

Each year my personal viewing is not consistent. Sometimes I watch with a planned schedule, other times by how I feel in the moment. However, I do have personal traditions of watching particular versions on Christmas Eve and Christmas night.  This year I will be watching according to a plan which will become apparent in the daily posts.

I don’t anticipate viewing them all, but there will be a lot and it will be personally satisfying.

As I always state, I am not a critic and have no wish to try to appear as one. I briefly write about each version I watch with my personal perceptions or opinions.  Occasional posts may appear as ones previous but updated with new insights or information.
